ALBEAU SMASH THE 50 KNOT BARRIER:

After the promising first few days at Luderitz Speed Challenge, everyone felt that the 50 knot barrier wasn't far off with some close runs and a new World Record. Finally, on Tuesday, the barrier was broken and records kept tumbling with almost every run.

Anders Bringdal first broke 50 knots twice on his RS:Racing EVOV, with a 50.41 and then a 50.46 knot run. Antoine Albeau, also on the EVOV, then went one better pushing the record to 50.62 knots, getting his name back in the World Record books. The World Record was also held by Cedric Bordes for a short time that afternoon with 49.66 knots.

Reports say that the wind speed was not ideal during these runs. The question begs: how far can they go if they get even better conditions?

We look forward to further chapters in the Antoine/Anders battle story and pushing the EVOV to new limits.

CAP VERT november 2010

Pas de vent au Cap Vert pendant la finale de la coupe du Monde PWA wave, du swell presque tous les jours mais pas assez de vent pour valider l'épreuve, quelques heats seulement ont été fait dans des conditions limites.

Not enough wind in Cabo Verde for the final of the PWA World Cup Wave event, we got swell almost every day but the wind was too light to validate the elimination so only few heats were run.

Long Distance in Fouras last week-end (6-7/11-2010), 180 competitors. Very nice sunny day and 10 to 12kts. We did 2 races of 20min each. I won the 2, I was on my new 12m Evo 3 and my JP Formula board, everything was working great !!

The event was leading by the locals as we took the 3 first places. Thanks to the organiser and see you next year.
